Your Village Hall
Dorridge Village Hall was built in 1975 from donations and grants from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council who still retain the freehold for this site. On 22 April 1977 Dorridge Village Hall Association (DVHA) was formed and became a registered charity (506221). This Association was set up to maintain, develop and manage the Hall and promote it for the benefit of the residents of Dorridge and the surrounding area by fostering a community spirit. DVHA has its own constitution and is run by a committee of voluntary officers and user representatives.
As at AUgust 2009, a number of new faces joined the ranks, including Callum McCormick as Chairman and Jason Wilkes as Vice-Chair. Since then, Wendy McCormick has been apoointed Secretary and manages the booking system for both Regular as well as Private users.
We are currently inviting new users to the hall and we urge you to check our on-line calendar to check for available slots. Private venue hirers and those celebrating family celebrations may want to book the hall on Friday and Saturday evenings, together with our fully staffed bar. Example celebrations are:
- Anniversaries
- Weddings
- Charity Events
- Birthday celebrations
- Bhildren's parties
All communication via: bookings@dorridgevillagehall.org.uk
You may also book your private function at the hall, although please note that we positively discourage parties for the under-22 age group; certainly 16th and 18th birthday parties have now been discontinued.
